First it was Sivakarthikeyan -D Imman -Ponram rocking together in Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam. With its grand success, it all evoked huge expectations for this film titled ‘Rajini Murugan’, produced by Thirrupathi Brothers. Keerthi Suresh from Mollywood makes her debut in this film in female lead. The audio launch is happening now and we bring you the exclusive music review on Behind Frames.
Rajini Murugan – Title Song
Last time, Sivakarthikeyan crooned the title song of VVS for D Imman and they are up with the same formulae here as well. The song is slightly slow in tempo, but has some catchy lyrics. Somewhere in the middle it looks like Sivakarthikeyan’s personal connection goes with the lyrics.
Un Mela Oru Kannu
Singers: Jithin Raj, Mahalakshmi Iyer
The song is mediocre in places and it works out subtly well. Maybe, the visuals and picturing might add up some intensity to this track, but for now, it’s just an average one. Kudos to singers Jithin Raj and Mahalakshmi Iyer for their significant voices and instrumentals give an impactful effect.
Ennama Ippadi Pandringale Ma
Singer: D Imman
Nothing to analyze on this song! It’s already a hit and it has been creating the headlines for a very long time. The song has been very well crooned by D Imman and is etched with more engrossing elements.
Aavi Parakkum Teanadai
Singer: V.M. Mahalingam, Badava Gopi
The song has Badava Gopi rendering some funny lines of mimicry as radio ad jingles. This is about the inauguration of a new tea stall that comes from singer Mahalingam, giving some best rendition. It should surely have a great significance with the visuals.
Singers: Diwakar, Kalpana Raghavendar
It sounds like a finely exquisite track that brings some finest singers like Diwakar and Kalpana Raghavendar yielding the best results. The song is seemingly placed somewhere in the film with some joyful moods.
Yennama Ippadi Panreengalae Ma (Imman Mix)
Singers : D. Imman, Aaryan Dinesh Kanagarathnam
But what stands out to be a good number in the track list is this remix version of Yennama Ippadi Pandringale Ma that has some stunning work by rapper Aaryan Dinesh Kanagarathnam. The outstanding sound mixing is beautifully done.
Overall, Rajini Murugan is okay in places, but the remix version of Yennama Ippadi Pandringale Ma is an excellent cherry-pick. While for rest of the songs, this might take some time to make it bigger on the screens.
Verdict: Good in parts, but great as Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam.
