Karu Pazhaniappan’s latest release ‘Jannal Oram’ is a remake of super hit Malayalam movie ‘Ordinary’. Parthiepan plays the role of a driver for bus that travels between Pazhani to Pannai Kaadu and Vimal is a conductor. Within a short span of time after joining this job, he falls in love with a beautiful girl from this village. When everything goes right on places, an unexpected incident changes his course of life. What is the incident? Did Vimal come out of it or not? This forms the basic crux of the film that is laced with more thrill elements.
When it comes to performance, Parthiepan looks like a professional bus driver and has a huge experience in this field and so is Vimal. Both of them generate humour with their usual wit techniques. Vimal gets more scope to perform during the second hour that deserves special mention indeed. The arrival of Viddarth is something unexpected and it will surprise you when watching the film. In spite of his minimal importance in the film, he has completely made use of this opportunity to establish his prominence. Ramana is convincing. Poorna and Manisha Yadav appear more to the rural belles with their beautiful looks and appreciable costumes.
The film offers a beautiful experience of journey across Pazhani to Pannai Kaadu and we say, if you’re someone watching this film in London, you’ll feel one among these commuters. Arbindhu Chara’s cinematography is awesome as it offers an ambience of freshness in every frame. After a very long time, Vidyasagar arrives with some lovely numbers and melodious duets are composed well indeed.
It might be an easy task to remake a Malayalam movie script, but changing its flavor with accordance to the taste of Tamil audience is a real big challenge. But Karu Pazhaniappan has done a fabulous job by adding more interesting elements into the film without spoiling the originality of the film.
There are lots of moments to enjoy from the film ‘Jannal Oram’. Watch it and gain your coolness and we assure you will be very much satisfied with this film.
Verdict: Don’t miss this beautiful journey
