Just before few minutes, the audio launch of ‘Vaaiyai Moodi Pesavum’ was held at Sathyam Cinemas. The film is directed by Balaji Mohan, who made his debut directorial with the film ‘Kadhalil Sodhapuvadhu Yeppadi’ that marks the debut of Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salman in Tamil film industry with Nazriya Nazim starring opposite him in female lead character. The audio launch was graced by the leading personalities of south industry that includes Manirathnam, Selvaraghavan, Rana Daggubati, C.V. Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, T. Siva, Madhan Karky and many others.
Manirathnam released the audio and it was received by Rana Daggubati with Selvaraghavan unveiling the trailer.
Speaking on the occasion, Manirathnam said, “There is a stark similarity between Manirathnam and Balaji Mohan. Before getting into films, I was working as a consultant in a corporate company and later gained more interest in movies. I started writing scripts and my family supported me a lot on this. Similarly, Balaji Mohan had no proper film background, but has now emerged as a winner here in the industry. I am really happy about the young generation of filmmakers, who are coming up with fresh ideas. It is obvious that I am the only aged person here on this dais. I have worked with Mammootty and now Dulquer Salman is here.”
Selvaraghavan on his turn uttered, “I am proud that the things I envisaged have become a reality now. Before eight years, I used to tell everyone that there is no need to be an assistant director to make a film, but a short film of 10 minutes will make producers open the doors for you. Yes, it has happened and now we have this league of short filmmakers making a big time in the industry.”
Rana Daggubati who received the audio CD from Manirathnam said, “I am here completely because of my acquaintance with Dulquer and his family from his childhood.”
